Tokyo Noir Bar

The Brief

Create a bar that feels like you’re in Tokyo —refined, cinematic, and uncompromising—then make it resonate in Los Angeles.

What We Did

  • Concept & Positioning: Defined “Tokyo Noir” as a moody, Japanese-driven cocktail experience for a small, high-demand room.

  • Brand & Logo: Designed the mark and visual language to translate seamlessly from signage to social.

  • Space Design: Planned an intimate, immersive layout that supports bartending theater and efficient service at 20 seats.

  • Menu Development (with Kevin Lee): Built a focused program balancing Japanese ingredients and modern technique with approachability.

  • Launch & Ops: Opening playbook, pricing, staffing, and service standards to maximize throughput without losing craft.

Why It Worked

A clear point of view + disciplined footprint. With a tight seat count and a brand that photographs beautifully, Tokyo Noir generated buzz, repeat visits, and revenue density—hitting seven figures in Year 1.
